Frequently asked questions
When should I compare by words vs. by lines?
Word mode is best for essays and prose, where sentences are rewritten. Line mode is best for code, lists, or references, where whole lines are added or removed.
Are my texts uploaded anywhere?
No. The comparison runs entirely in your browser — neither text ever leaves your device.
Is there a length limit?
No fixed limit. Very long texts (hundreds of thousands of characters) may take a moment to compare, but everything still happens locally.
