What formula is used?
Required final = (target − current × (1 − weight)) ÷ weight, with the weight as a fraction. Example: 75% current, 40% final weight, 80% target → (80 − 75 × 0.6) ÷ 0.4 = 87.5%.
Where do I find the final's weight?
Check your course syllabus or grading policy. If the final is worth 40 marks out of 100, its weight is 40%.
What if the required score is over 100%?
Then the target isn't reachable with this weighting. We tell you that honestly and show the best overall grade you can still achieve with a perfect final.
Are my grades sent anywhere?
