Frequently asked questions
What is the Pomodoro Technique?
A focus method: work in short timed sprints (classically 25 minutes), then take a 5-minute break. After about 4 sprints, take a longer break. It keeps energy and concentration high during study sessions.
How do desktop notifications work?
Flip the notifications toggle and your browser will ask for permission once. After that you'll get a desktop notification each time a focus session or break ends — even if you're in another tab.
Does the timer keep running if I switch tabs?
Yes. The countdown is anchored to the clock, so even if your browser slows background tabs, the timer corrects itself and the tab title keeps showing the time.
Is anything tracked or uploaded?
No. The timer runs entirely in your browser — no account, no tracking, nothing leaves your device.
