Why does text copied from a PDF have broken lines?
PDFs store text line by line, so pasting adds a line break at the end of every visual line. Turn on "Remove line breaks" to join them back into flowing paragraphs.
In what order are the cleanups applied?
Line-level fixes run first (trim, drop empty, remove duplicates, sort), then spacing fixes (collapse spaces, remove line breaks). That way sorting and deduplication see clean lines.
